Friday

  • Arrive in Beech Mountain and check into your Airbnb or hotel of choice. Whether you opt for a cozy cabin nestled in the trees or a slope-side hotel, you’ll be greeted by stunning views and the crisp mountain air.

  • Take the scenic lift ride at Beech Mountain Resort. It’s the perfect way to start your trip by taking in panoramic views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. This ride is only available during summer and early fall. But don’t worry, if the lifts are not running when you visit, there are a few overlooks through the mountain to enjoy those amazing vistas.

  • End your day with a cozy dinner at Famous Brick Oven Pizzeria, known for its classic pizza and laid-back mountain town vibe. It’s a great place to refuel after a day of exploration.

Saturday

  • Start your morning with breakfast at Slope View Café, where you can enjoy a hearty meal with views of the mountain. Their breakfast burritos and coffee are perfect for fueling up before an active day.

  • Head out to the Emerald Outback Trails for either mountain biking or hiking. With nearly 7 miles of trails, the rugged terrain offers scenic views, dense forest, and challenging routes for all skill levels.

  • After a morning on the trails, stop by Fred’s Deli for a casual lunch. Grab a sandwich or burger from this Beech Mountain staple and maybe pick up some supplies from Fred’s General Store.

  • In the afternoon, spend some time hiking, bird watching or having a picnic around Buckeye Lake. This peaceful area is a perfect spot to unwind, and the nearby Buckeye Recreation Center offers great facilities, including access to trails and lake equipment rentals.

  • After a day full of activities, relax back at your accommodations or take in the mountain views as you unwind.

  • For dinner, check out Holy Smokes BBQ, known for its slow-cooked meats and Southern comfort sides. This casual spot is a local favorite and the perfect way to wrap up your adventure-filled day.

Sunday

  • Before heading out of town, stop by First Chair Coffee for a fresh brew. This local café has great coffee and pastries, making it the perfect stop before you hit the road.
